My mother was born in Montgomery, Alabama and my father was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. They met in Alabama! In the South, when a person did not feel well you were given a good "Rub Down!" Well I constantly observed and mimicked my Mom give our entire family a "Rub Down", as well as our sick neighbors with her blends of Liniments, Green Mentholated Alcohol, Mineral Oil and any other blend she felt necessary to achieve the goal of "Wellness". She would say to me, "Watch Me Gloria" and "Do What I Do". We would start RUBBING from the bottom of their feet and continue to their chest, as well as, their backs.
When my Dad was in the "Dog House":) he would get out of the "Dog House" by soaking my mom's tired feet in Warm Water and Epsom Salt for 20 minutes. After her feet soaked, he would then use his pocket knife to gently glide across the bottoms of my mom's feet to remove the softened callous, followed by a Ointment or Petroleum Jelly foot "Rub Down". I would always watch my mom's expression of relaxation and my father's smile of relief of a job well done!
My Mother also believed that certain foods and blends of teas also played an important roll in my families healing process. The aroma of her baking a Chocolate Cake, blending her famous Peppermint Candy/Pure Honey Tea and her homemade Chicken Soup will always be close to my heart.
Because of my childhood old fashioned wellness experiences, I've developed my first of many lines of Aromatherapy foot creams. I want to bring my Mother's Old Fashioned Aromas of Wellness to your front door.
Enjoy your journey to "Wellness Beyond A Pedicure."
"Thank You to my parents in Heaven, Doris and Jimmie L. Williams" for inspiring me through your love for the old fashioned "Rub Down" and aromas used to create my brand "footnanny".
