Footnanny® is rooted in a tradition that began long before I was born — a tradition carried through three generations of Southern women.My grandmother, raised in Montgomery, Alabama, believed in the healing power of touch. When someone didn’t feel well, she would offer a good old-fashioned “Rub Down” using warm oils, homemade mixtures, and pure Southern compassion.
She taught this ritual to my mother, who carried the same spirit of hospitality into our community. And when I was a little girl, my mother taught me — the same way her mother taught her.
She would take me along to help sick and elderly neighbors, family members, church members, and anyone who needed comfort. I watched her hands closely, mimicking her movements, and became her second set of hands.
“Watch me, Gloria… do what I do.”
That is how the gift was passed down — hand to hand, heart to heart.
Together we massaged from the bottom of the feet upward, helping restore comfort, ease, and connection. These moments shaped my life’s calling and became the foundation of Footnanny®.
The Birth of FOOTNANNY®
Inspired by the recipes and rituals passed down from my grandmother and mother, I created Footnanny®, a wellness brand built on comfort, intention, and tradition.
Our aromatherapy foot creams, soaks, and wellness products are made with:
